A Love Letter to my Mom-mom..

…A summer thunderstorm recently rolled through the heavy heat that is washing over London of late… it was a sweet release.. It sent me into a reverie of growing up visiting my Mom-mom and Pop-pop’s house in North East, Maryland every summer and LOVING the summer thunderstorms, those lightning-riddled forces of pure nature that were so exotic and delicious to my native Californian/Hawai’i upbringing. Now I get letters from my Mom-mom that will recount when she encounters a summer thunderstorm and how she always thinks of me.. who needs lighting to light you up when you have a grandma that is that electric and sweet? I think of it as our ‘thing’ now.. This is a summer love-letter to Mom-mom…
